Summer Intern Spotlight
ITASCA Minneapolis had another group of excellent summer interns this year across our consulting, software, and business groups. Thank you all for your hard work and enthusiasm! Read on to learn more about each of our interns and their interesting summer projects.

Tenzin Dayoe
Macalester College
Tenzin is double majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics and is an AI Engineering Intern at ITASCA. He is developing the new Geobot AI to help both developers and users of ITASCA software products. He is also developing a new internal ITASCA AI platform to help consultants and developers with coding, research, and report writing.
Jacob Favour
University of Iowa
Jacob is majoring in Marketing at the Tippie College of Business and was a Marketing Analytics Intern this summer. He focused on SEO optimization, website content updates, and user experience improvements. He also supported product marketing by creating optimized descriptions, managing training course promotions, and enhancing ITASCA’s online presence through targeted content strategies.
Wolfe Glaeser
University of Minnesota
Wolfe is majoring in Business Economics, Management, and worked as a Sales Intern, contributing to a variety of sales and marketing initiatives. He conducted prospect research, created and managed outreach sequences, and tailored messaging to highlight recent software updates. Wolfe supported lead generation, event promotion, and content updates while gaining valuable experience in business-to-business sales and international markets. His adaptability and attention to detail added measurable value to the team’s efforts and enhanced engagement with potential clients.
Mikala Hammer
University of Minnesota
Mikala graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Physics. She is now a Ph.D. student working at the Institute for Rock Magnetism in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Under the advising of Joshua Feinberg, she studies sedimentary manganese deposits across the contiguous United States with a primary focus on integrating laboratory-scale magnetic data with site-scale potential field geophysical data for improved modeling. As a Consulting Geology Intern, she has worked on processing borehole geophysical data in Python.
Christian (CJ) Nygard
University of Maryland, College Park
CJ Nygard, an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland, returned for another summer as a Software Development Intern. He worked on improvements to ITASCA software web licenses, transitioning most cases to use web licenses and decreasing the need for other types of licenses, including adding the capability for offline usage and dedicating seats to a machine.
Emory Russell
University of Minnesota
Emory is a computer science student at the University of Minnesota who returned for a second software development internship with ITASCA Software. He has worked on logging command usage in the kernel, storing it in AWS, and creating a simple website to view the data. He’s also optimizing polygon plotting in ITASCA software using new OpenGL features.
