Anti-Piracy Statement

The issue of software piracy is wide-spread. Whether you call it borrowing, copying, or sharing, software piracy is illegal and it puts you and your institution at risk for legal action.

The software products, FLAC, FLAC3D, FLAC/Slope, UDEC, 3DEC, PFC2D and PFC3D are developed by Itasca Consulting Group, Inc. and are sold and distributed only through Itasca’s offices and authorized agents. All Itasca products (with the exception of our demonstration versions) require a hardware key (dongle) and are licensed to the purchaser.

If you are using an Itasca code purchased through an unauthorized reseller or a version that does not require a hardware key (with the exception of a Student Version or a demonstration version), you should be aware that you are using an illegal copy of the program.

We are encouraging all those who have used or are using unlicensed Itasca software to contact us before July 31, 2008. We would like to help you obtain a licensed, legal copy of the program. As well, if you are unsure whether your program is properly licensed, we encourage you to check with us for verification. Starting in August, we will be contacting institutions and individuals that we believe may be using illegal versions of our products. We would much prefer that you contact us first.

Please contact your local Itasca office or Itasca’s Headquarters in Minneapolis, MN USA. Office locations and contact information can be found on our main Offices page.

All of us at Itasca would like to express our appreciation to all licensed users for their support of Itasca products.

Itasca retains the right to protect its intellectual property by taking all necessary measures.
