Jennifer Andrews geophysics. Dr. Andrews specializes in processing and interpreting passive seismic data from natural and induced microseismicity, and in developing advanced processing algorithms for ASC’s InSite Seismic Processor. She completed her Ph.D. at Cambridge University on seismological studies of deep earth structure using data from global seismographic stations. Dr. Andrews has experience in microseismic monitoring of hydrofracture stimulations for petroleum reservoirs, and analysis of seismicity around developing and operational commercial geothermal energy fields. Her algorithm developments are focused on enhancing waveform signals through digital processing, and increasing the effectiveness of source location and source parameter inversion.

Jonathan Haycox geophysics and systems engineering. Jon Haycox is a Geophysicist with experience processing and interpreting seismic data at all scales, specializing in the application of microseismic and acoustic emission techniques to the petroleum and radwaste sectors. He has undertaken field work worldwide, including real-time processing of hydrofracture data, and provides training and support to InSite users. In his Systems Engineer role, Jon supervises the successful operation and development of ASC’s office in Shrewsbury, UK, and the administration of all project operations. He is the Quality Engineer of ASC’s ISO 9001:2000 certified quality-management system.

Edmund Hughes software engineering. Mr. Hughes is a software engineer with a background in Physics with over 20 years of experience. He has developed software using programming languages such as C/C++, C# and VB.NET and has made extensive use of technologies such as MFC, OpenGL, SQL Server and ASP.NET on a windows platform. In his current role, he has worked extensively on enhancing the InSite software, an integrated tool for microseismic acquisition, processing, data management and visualization, and on developing InSiteDB, a new database tool for remotely networking InSite users and sharing microseismic results.

Juan Reyes-Montes geophysics. Dr. Reyes-Montes is a geophysicist who specializes in advanced processing and interpretation of microseismic data across ASC’s range of operating sectors. Dr. Reyes-Montes develops new processing techniques and implements these into ASC’s software solutions. He has focused on applying relative location of microseismic data and statistical analysis of fracture information from seismicity clouds to the interpretation of caving-induced fracturing, underground storage feasibility and efficiency of hydraulic fracturing campaigns, particularly for correlation of observed data with numerical simulations in synthetic rock models.
