Dr. Bisht specializes in computational geomechanics and numerical modeling. He has experience in finite elements, the material point method, and software development. Dr. Bisht has worked extensively in developing algorithms in the material point method for simulation of penetration problems using realistic soil models. He also has experience in pile design. He proposed pile driving formulae for driven pipe piles and developed software for pile design and quality assurance.
Dr. Bisht is currently a reviewer for the Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering.
